Our Work

Backpacks of Food
Louisville UMC and Christian Church have teamed up to fill the need of backpacks of food for local families that need a little assistance feeding their school-aged children on weekends. A filled backpack is discreetly given to students on Fridays each week to cover their weekend meals.
We could use some donations of kid-friendly, healthy, non-perishable foods for our pantry. Some ideas: Macaroni and Cheese, peanut butter, fruit cups, pudding cups, cereal, canned veggies, soups, etc.
Donations may be dropped off at United Methodist Church, 222 Walnut, or Christian Church, 304 Main Street, during regular weekday or Sunday hours. Other drop off arrangements may be made with Pastor Bob Wynn 234-2055 or Pastor Cathy Stander 234-2130.
If you know of a family in our community who might benefit from this program, please contact either Pastor. Confidentiality is enforced.

First United Methodist Church of Louisville works diligently to meet

the ever-changing needs of the communities in which we live.

Food Pantry

People continue to suffer difficult times due to job losses,  reduced hours, or family circumstances.  We continue to reach out to those in need with food and supplies from our food pantry.   We appreciate your Food Pantry donations.  Please call Pastor  Bob (234-4895) if you are aware of a family in need of help.  God Bless You!

We have been involved in many projects over the years, and we invite you to learn by example how you can help your community together with our church.
